RSL Club Memberships

 

Existing Members

All memberships at the club run from January 1 to December 31 in each year and annual subscriptions are due January 1 each year.

​

However, members do not need to wait until the end of the year to renew their membership.  Indeed why wait until after Christmas when most of us are short of funds.

​

When renewing please pay at the bar.  We are open from 3.30pm Wednesday to Sunday each week.    But please keep in mind that on Thursday and Friday nights when we offer meal service, it is not a good time to pay if the bar staff are busy.  If they are not busy then it is OK.

​

New Members

New memberships are available for anyone wishing to join as a Service Member, Affiliate or Community Member.   If you do so after the 1st of November you will receive up to fourteen months membership as the membership will continue until 31 December in the following year.  The annual fees differ for Service Members, Affiliates and Community Members. 

​

Having joined as a member you will be eligible for cheaper drinks and meals and can receive a reduction in the hall hire fee from $330 to $110.

​

Membership forms are available at the bar or ask one of our Committee Members to assist you to get the relevant form.

​

We are always eager to welcome new members / friends to the club and I would be pleased to see your name on a form coming my way soon.

Colonel Light Gardens RSL members enjoy discounts on Meals, Drinks and Venue Hire. If you would like more information, or application forms please enquire at the bar, or look out for the 2025 Memberships Officer or a Committee Member who will be able to assist.

Community Membership​

Open to all members of the public. 

​

Affiliate Membership

Admission to people who have not worked for the Australian Defence Force but are a relative of somone who was, or if you are empathetic with the RSL objectives. Affiliate Members can vote at General Meetings (excluding the appointment of the RSL President). 

​

Service Membership

Application for Service Membership is open to any member or ex-member of the Australian Defence Force and allies who in general terms has completed 6 months service. Proof of military service is required with the application. Service Members can vote at General Meetings.

​

Life Membership

Life membership may be awarded to eligible Service Members whom have provided significant service to the Colonel Light Gardens RSL. Service Members can vote at General Meetings.
